How to Choose Your Next Fragrance
Choose a fragrance by the notes you enjoy, then compare the exact concentration, bottle size and packaging. This guide uses examples from the Fragrance Online Shop catalog to help you narrow your choices. Scent descriptions are a starting point: personal preference and wear vary.
Find a scent profile to explore
If you enjoy a familiar fragrance, identify what you like about it: bright citrus, soft florals, warm vanilla, clean musk or dry woods. Compare those notes with the individual product descriptions rather than choosing by brand name alone.

How do Coco Vanille and Rouge Smoking differ?
Both include vanilla in their listed notes. Coco Vanille pairs it with coconut, white peach and tropical flowers; Rouge Smoking pairs vanilla with cherry, pink pepper, heliotrope and tonka bean. Start with Coco Vanille if coconut notes interest you, or compare Rouge Smoking if you prefer a cherry direction. Their listed bottles are 120 ml and 100 ml respectively.
How do Cedrat Boise and Torino 21 differ?
Cedrat Boise combines a citrus opening with black currant, patchouli, woods and leather. Torino 21 lists mint, lemon, basil and thyme, followed by floral, herbal and musky notes. Compare the woody citrus direction of Cedrat Boise with the green, herbal citrus direction of Torino 21. Both listings are Eau de Parfum, but their compositions and bottle sizes differ.
What does Eau de Parfum, Eau de Toilette or Extrait mean?
These labels identify the fragrance concentration or version. Compare the full product name, not just the name of the fragrance: Eau de Toilette, Eau de Parfum, Parfum and Extrait can have different compositions. A concentration label alone does not guarantee a fixed wear time or tell you which scent you will prefer.
Should I choose a 50 ml, 100 ml or 120 ml bottle?
The size describes the volume supplied. Compare the exact same fragrance and concentration when assessing value; a larger bottle of a different version is not a direct comparison. A smaller bottle may suit someone trying a new scent, while a larger bottle may suit a fragrance they already know. Check the selected option before adding it to your cart.
What is the difference between retail box, tester, unboxed and refill?
A retail-box listing includes the packaging described on that product page. Tester and unboxed listings can have different presentation; do not assume a retail box or cap is included unless stated. A refill is intended for a compatible bottle or system. Read the listing before ordering, especially when buying a gift, and contact us if packaging is unclear.
